God is alive!
It’s funny, isn’t it? How we strongly believe that He is alive, and yet we haven’t seen Him. It’s one of the purest form of faith there is. For us humans, some say that everything or anything is impossible until seen or until proven.
But the Bible says, because He lives, there are a lot of things that we should believe, and that includes even the things unseen. That’s true. What book is out there that is more factual than the Bible? I doubt that there is, because no human wisdom can ever surpass God’s wisdom.
As His children, we should show and make this world feel that He is really alive.
Because He lives, we should believe that He is with us. (Matthew 1:23)
Matthew 1:23 New International Version (NIV)
23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”
Immanuel, meaning “God with us”
He lives in your heart. Remember that He is always with you.
Do know the story about a teenage girl who is going to go have a trip with her friends?
One day, a girl is going to have a trip with all her friends. As the car arrives to fetch her, her mom told her “May God be with you.” But, in reply, she told her mom, “Sure, He can stay on the trunk.” So that she wouldn’t be “embarrassed” in front of her friends. And then she entered the car.
Hours later, there was a news about a group of teenagers who have been in a car accident. Everybody was dead and the car was totally crushed. BUT, there is this mystery that police officers could not answer. The car was crushed, but not totally the whole car. The trunk was left untouched and when the policemen opened the trunk, they saw a whole tray of eggs, and not one of them were hardly damaged.
Well, don’t test the Lord. Let’s keep in mind that even though we sometimes treat Him as a stranger, He is still the Boss. He is not only the God of the past, but also the God of the present, future, and forever.
Because He lives, believe that You will live too. (2 Corinthians 5:15)
15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
He died for all so that we could live again, now in accordance to His will. The importance of His death is for us to realize that we are so unworthy to be fought or died for, and yet His mercy still remains. Without Him, we would be existing, but barely alive. It’s like we’re the walking dead.
Because of this, we should not be lukewarm. If we are burning to worship, to praise, or to serve Him, we must burn to the highest degree. We should not be burning today but tomorrow you just don’t feel like it. God hates that. If you’re cold, just stay cold. God doesn’t want a doubtful Christian.
And lastly, Because He lives in me, people will see God in me.
How can you prove that God is really alive or there is still a God in this world if we choose to cover Him up or to hide Him to this world?
Before people said that God lives on the altar, church, tabernacle, or temple.
But now, He lives in you; and you should let the people see that. How? By following His commands, knowing His ways, following His words, by living with all humbleness and purity, and by being His imitator.
