"You are robbing Me."
You are blessed. You are destined to be blessed. BUT, you are robbing God.
You are robbing God with your tithes and offerings. Think of it as this way: we are blessed not by receiving, but by giving. But, why not give the right amount to God?
What you reap is what you sow. If you are good, you’ll gain good friends. If you planted a tomato, don’t expect for a pumpkin.
For humans, our logic is that when we don’t give, we’ll have more for ourselves. But God’s logic is far different and far better than ours.
You are robbing God! (Malachi 3:8-9)
8 “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me.
“But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’
“In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me.
You are already blessed. Don’t submerge in the curse by not giving. It’s not just an Old Testament practice. Base your giving by how much you are blessed.
$20.00 > $1000.00
Seems wrong, right?
But for a person who has nothing, but still gave $20.00, is far greater than the $1000.00 that a billionaire gave. God isn’t based on how big or how many you give, but God is all about the heart that you offer to Him when giving. (First of all, it’s His!)
If you won’t rob God, you’ll receive more blessings. (Malachi 3:10-11)
10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty.
Imagine the windows of heavens as the ones where rains are pour out.
By giving, you are proclaiming that you are no longer cursed. When we give our whole tithe to His storehouse, He will pour out a lot more than what you gave. So every morning, we should have this mindset that we are blessed. And if we are blessed, what’s the reason not to give?
Lastly, Malachi 3:11
11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty.
If we are giving and not robbing Him,
He will: take care of you, become a big source of your needs, prosper you, and bless you even more.
But if you don’t, it’s like saving on a sack with a whole on the bottom, and is destined to be empty in the near future.
Look at your hands. If you open it, you are letting God’s blessings flow over you and it will never run out. But, if you close your fist, you’ll only have the blessings that you already have right now, but soon it will be gone. And you cannot receive His blessings because your hands are closed.
Give! Because you are blessed to become a blessing.
You cannot test God on anything, but He allowed you to test Him only on one thing: “Test me on this”
Remember, you cannot out give God. So bring your whole tithe to His storehouse.
