Praise to God of all comfort
TITLE: Praise to God of all comfort
It is written in 1Corinthians 13:13 that " And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." As Christians we must show to our brothers and sisters that how much the Lord loves us and one way of showing your love to others is comforting them. Comfort means to feel less worried, upset or frightened. But sometimes we also need comforting words or things that makes us feel better. But remember us Christians are being comforted by God thru His words and prayer. Have a break take time to pray and meditate His words.
Use these verses as guides as you have your own quiet time with the Lord & note what the Bible has to say about the issue.
MONDAY: Read Matthew 11:28-29
“28 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. "
There are saying that we can buy bed but we can't buy sleep, we can buy medicine but we can't buy complete healing. So it means only God can gives us complete rest, heal and comfort, complete rest in times that we feel so tired and down from everything, healing that we need in times of sickness and lastly God comforts us in everything physical, emotional and spiritual side.
TUESDAY: Matthew 5:4
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." Us Christians we also feel mourn or to show great sadness or unhappines in everything. because we are not excuse in trials or problems that can test our faith to God.
WEDNESDAY: Why should we comfort our brothers? Because now a days our generation are full of temptations, distractions or things that makes us feel so down. So as Christians we always address our problems to God and always relying on God's words. see 2 Corinthians 1:3-7. Meditate on it, and wisdom from God about what actions you should do after.
THURSDAY: There is a saying that in order to help others help your self first and you can easily help other people thru God the his wisdom and knowledege that he given to you. Read Deuteronomy 31:8 and share God's love and comfort of God.
FRIDAY: Rest in God's comfort. Read Philippians 4:6-7
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
An American evangelist, a prominent evangelical Christian figure his name is Billy Graham quotes and he said that “The Christian life is not a constant high. I have my moments of deep discouragement. I have to go to God in prayer with tears in my eyes, and say, 'O God, forgive me,' or 'Help me.'” All of us are not excuse in problem and trials, even Christians are experiencing trials. As christians we should always rely on God's words and live on it, pray for your self and prayer also for your brothers and sisters. All we need is to pray, meditate and trust on his words.
